A note from the Head of AI & Innovation
Quick follow-up on last week's note. The class visits I mentioned kick off this Monday, and I want to be as upfront as possible about how they'll run — same energy as last week: no surprises, no judgement, no theatre. The most useful thing I can do is share the exact form I'll be filling in, the days I'll be visiting which grades, and the reason I'm doing this at all. So this issue is short and almost entirely about that.
To repeat what I said last week: these visits are not evaluative. The form below has no place for a teacher name, no rating of your teaching, and no narrative section — it's a handful of structured checkboxes about what AI looks like in the room, not about you. The data is aggregate. It feeds the AI & Innovation integration plan for next year. That's the whole story.
And to say it one more time, because it matters: please don't prepare anything for me. Don't change the lesson, don't queue up an AI demo, don't shuffle activities. I want to see what a normal Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday looks like in your classroom. That's the data that's actually useful.

Haven't taken the AI & Innovation survey yet? It's still open.
The class visits give me one slice of the picture. The survey gives me the other — the things I can't see from the doorway: what you'd actually want a PD module on, which tools are missing, where the policy still gets in the way.
If you can spare two minutes, please do. Every answer changes what gets prioritised next.
Which day to expect a visit
Visits are split by grade band so you know which day to expect me, and so I'm not bouncing between divisions in the same session. I'll move quietly through classrooms across the day — usually 5–10 minutes per room.

🤝 What I need from you
Nothing extra. Teach the lesson you were already planning to teach. I'm collecting baseline data on what daily lessons look like — so anything "performed" for the visit would actually make the data less useful, not more.
Classroom AI Integration Snapshot — shared for full transparency
This is the exact form I'll be filling in during each visit. I'm sharing it openly because the easiest way to make a classroom visit comfortable is to remove the mystery: this is what's checked, this is all that's checked, your name is not on it.
- ✓ No teacher name. The form doesn't ask for it and I'm not adding it.
- ✓ Non-evaluative. There is no "rate the teacher" question — only structured prompts about the AI activity in the room.
- ✓ What it captures: grade level, subject area, type of AI integration observed (if any), student engagement level, and the AI tool used (if known).
- ✓ "No observable AI integration" is a perfectly valid answer — and one I genuinely expect to record often. We're at the start of a multi-phase plan; the goal is a true picture, not a rosy one.
- ✓ This is phase one. Future phases will look at different things — this form is calibrated only for where we are right now.

MAP Testing (K-5) — a new home on the Learning Hub
With Spring testing around the corner, the MAP Testing Hub on Tools & Resources has been rebuilt for K-5. Three things live there now: a full proctor guide, a teacher video on assigning tests and accommodations, and a primer on what MAP Growth actually measures.

Wired Wednesdays — Workspace Studio Flows, hands-on Wired Wednesdays — تدفّقات Workspace Studio عمليًا
Back to the standard 3:00–3:30 PM slot this week. We'll build a no-code Workspace Studio Flow live — a daily inbox briefing or a meeting prep brief, your pick — straight from the new PD module. Same recurring Meet link, recorded as always.
Still got a question about the visits?
If anything about Monday–Wednesday is still unclear — what I'll be doing, what I won't be doing, what's on the form — please ask. I'd rather answer ten questions ahead of the visit than have any teacher feeling caught off guard.
