Quick update on where we are. The AI & Innovation framework for AISA is taking shape — the policy frame is in good order, the early PD modules are live, and the Tools & Resources catalog is wide enough now to be genuinely useful. To anchor those tweaks to what's actually happening in classrooms, I'm starting informal class visits next week. To be very clear: these are not evaluative — no observation form, no write-up, no judgement. I just want to see what AI usage and innovation genuinely look like across the school today, so the framework and the Hub get shaped by reality rather than guesswork. Two new app integrations are live in your AISA Gemini account. Gemini can now read your Gmail on demand — ask it what someone emailed you about exam prep last week and it'll summarise the thread. If you're making a presentation, generate the outline and copy in a Doc first, then paste into a fresh Slides file by hand. Plug your NotebookLM notebooks into Gemini — and into your Gems اربطوا دفاتر NotebookLM بـ Gemini — وبأدوات Gems الخاصة بكم
A NotebookLM notebook can now be attached to a Gemini chat to ground its answers in your sources, AND embedded directly in the knowledge base of any custom Gem you build. That means a Gem you design — say, a Year 12 Biology tutor or an IB syllabus assistant — can cite your curriculum docs, IB guides, and research papers instead of leaning on the open web. Now that the AISA-wide Chalkie trial is running, we've shipped a full PD module on how to use it well.
