Championship season. February through May, AISA closes out the year with Badminton, Track & Field, and the marquee GAAC Academic Games.

Spring Athletics at AISA

Spring is "Season Three" across GAAC, ISAC, and EAC — the culminating season for AISA athletics. Badminton runs at all levels, Track & Field crowns regional champions, and the GAAC Academic Games bring together our top student-scholars for seven Olympiad competitions.

Badminton is one of the largest Spring programs at AISA, fielding teams at every level. Athletes compete in singles seeds (SB1-SB4 / SG1-SG4) and doubles (BD1, BD2, GD1, GD2). The Yonex Mavis 350 blue cap is the required shuttle. Tournaments are 2-3 day events with round-robin into seeded playoffs.

Track & Field

Boys & Girls · MS / JV / Varsity

Run by World Athletics rules. The GAAC Track & Field meet is held annually in Jordan and is a two-day event with sprints, distance, hurdles, relays (4×100, 4×400), high jump, long jump, triple jump, shot put, and discus. Each athlete may enter up to five events. EAC Middle School T&F is run as a one-afternoon meet using Hy-Tek Team Manager.

Academic Games

GAAC Core Event

The GAAC Academic Games are a Core (non-athletic) event for AISA. Schools compete with up to two teams of four students each across seven Olympiads: Quiz Bowl, Current Events, Geography, Spelling, Science/Engineering, Math, and Fine Arts & Music. Plaques are awarded to JV and Varsity champions.

JEAC Basketball

Elementary · Grades 4-6

JEAC Basketball is the Spring jamboree event for AISA's elementary athletes. Played 5-on-5 with FIBA rules and JEAC modifications: man-to-man defense only, 8-foot baskets where possible, no full-court press, and the scoreboard turns off once a team is up by 20 points. The focus is on equal playing time and skill development.
